Mauser C96
Here’s a very nice Mauser C96 “Broomhandle” pistol! This is a variation known to collectors as the “Early 1930 Model”. It was a slightly modified version of the earlier C96 and featured an improved universal safety which could be operated one-handed, a wider grip frame, 12-groove walnut stocks, and a striking dark blue/black salt blue finish over a well-polished metal finish.
This pistol is chambered for the standard 7.63 Mauser cartridge and has the 5.2″ stepped barrel. The adjustable rear sight is correctly graduated 50-1000 meters.
This pistol is in very fine shape with nearly all of the original factory blue finish remaining.
According to the serial number, this Broomhandle was manufactured in 1932, the year prior to the beginning of the Nazi era. A super nice example!!
